Fireplaces in New houses

Most New Houses these days are built without a flue of Chimney.

This is a common practice by builders to save money on building a flue to take a gas fire.

It is also thought that as all new houses have central heating there is no need for a fireplaces.

I believe this to be  a common Mistake by the designers of new houses, as enquiries from people buying new properties without a built in flue has increased over the last few years.

This is because a fireplace is the focal point of a living room, and gives a room  warmth even if the fire is not lit.

We at Marbletech fireplaces make many fireplaces suitable to fit in a property without a flue

The most common these days are Marble fireplaces with an Electric fire.

Don’t be put off by the word Electric thinking this will be costly to run. It is quite the opposite.as all new houses have central heating there is often no need for additional heat. Most electric fires have a flame affect that works separately to the heat source

This allows the owner to have a warm cosy look without using the heat.

This unfortunately is not the case with gas fires as to have the cosy affect with gas fires you will be burning gas and increasing your fuel bill.
